The Grand Trine

A Grand Trine consists of three planets each making a trine (120 degrees) aspect to the others forming an equilateral triangle. All the planets fall within the same element, (fire, earth, air or water). This example shows a Grand Trine in the element of Air. This is an easy configuration.

The Grand Cross

The Grand Cross is made of four planets in square (90 degrees) aspect and two oppositions (180 degrees) usually within the same quality. This example shows a Grand Cross in the Cardinal quality.

The T-Square

The T-square consists of an two planets in opposition (180 degrees) that both square (90 degrees) a third planet. This example shows a T-square in the Cardinal quality. This can be a difficult configuration. Fixed T-Squares are harder to overcome.

The Kite

The Kite consists of a Grand Trine with one of the planets making an opposition (180 degrees) to a fourth planet, which makes Sextile aspects (60 degrees) to the two other planets in the Grand Trine.

The Yod

The Yod is also known as the Finger of God or Fate. It points to and emphasizes one particular planet. It is formed by two planets making a Sextile aspect (60 degrees) to each other and both of these planets making a quincunx aspect (150 degrees) to a third planet. Yod in Hebrew means "blessed" and is said to have a kind of fate about it. It is often said to indicate a strange or unusual destiny.

The Mystic Rectangle

The Mystic Rectangle consists of two oppositions in which each planet also makes a Sextile or trine aspect to another. Generally easy-flowing energy between the planets but with some difficulty indicated by the oppositions.
