Aromatherapy Crafts

Scented Rocks
1/2 Cup all-purpose flour
1/4 Cup salt
1/4 Tbsp alum
1 Tbsp essential oil
2/3 Cup boiling water
Food coloring (optional)
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add essential oil
and water. Scent will be strong. If using color add it one drop
at a time till desired shade (will dry 1 shade lighter) Blend well
and form into a ball, the roll it to a rope. Pinch off a walnut
size chunk at a time and roll between palms, flatten or shape to
odd shapes if desired. Keep the rest of the dough covered while
you work on it to keep it from drying out. Allow to air dry. Add
to potpourri or place in a bowl or decorate plate or large seashell.

Potpourri Rocks
1 Cup salt
1 Cup flour
1/2 to 3/4 tsp essential oil or fragrance oil
Food coloring, if desired
Crushed herbs, lavender flowers or rose petals
1 to 1 1/3 Cup very hot water
In a bowl, mix ingredients into a stiff dough and
then shape into balls, flat stones, squares or any other shape you
desire. Let air dry until hard before using. Add crushed herbs or
flower petals if desired.

Your selected paper and or envelopes
Fragrant or essential oil
An airtight container
Place your paper into an airtight container and
place 5-6 drops of oil onto some tissue and place inside the container
along with your paper and leave for 24 hours, the scent will absorb
into the paper.

Fragrant Envelopes
Dried Lavender
Small Envelopes (check office supplies)
Acrylic Paints, markers, stencils etc. to decorate them with
Paint or stencil the front of the envelopes as desired
and allow to dry. Fill the envelopes with Lavender and sealing up,
if desired you can add lavender oil or any other essential oil.
To release the fragrance, squish the bag. Great for gift baskets
