8x10 or larger photo frame with a removable back
and removable glass, preferably one that will stand on a table
High gloss, black paint (non aerosol)
Paint thinner (or what ever is recommended for cleaning up from
the paints directions)
A new paint brush
newspaper
Remove the glass from the frame and clean it with
vinegar and water. Allow to dry. Being careful of fingerprints that
may stop the paint from sticking, place it on the newspaper. Use
long, smooth strokes to paint one side of the glass. There must
be no unpainted areas (regardless of how small). Allow the paint
is dry. A single coat is best because it will allow it to be the
smoothest. Once the paint is totally dry, replace it with the glass
side facing out. You may choose to decorate the frame but remember
that you don't want to give it reflective surfaces.
Using Your Scrying Mirror
Scrying mirrors are used to answer questions and
induce visions. First make sure you are grounded, some prefer to
only scry within a protective circle. The room should be as dark
as possible. I place a small candle behind the mirror in a totally
dark room. Chant your question or intention in your mind or out
loud over and over until you're focused on it and nothing else.
Don't look at the mirror, look through its surface, into its blackness.
Colors will begin to appear and then images.
It can take some people weeks to get results. Practice
even if you don't see an immediate effect. The hardest part is clearing
your mind of other things. Be patient with yourself, make sure you
are grounded and completely focused. Remove any possible distractions,
you may have to wait until the kids are in bed or the noisy neighbors
are asleep. One last thing... know they will come, expect them,
don't hope for them.
