Toy Cautions:

  • Avoid soft rubber or latex toys
  • No eyes etc. that can be chewed off and swallowed
  • Cage type balls do prevent a risk of a ferret getting a jaw caught in holes, use caution
  • Make sure the squeaker in toys is not close to the surface of the toy. A squeaker just under the cloth shell has a high likely hood of being chewed out of the toy and can create a blockage if bits are swallowed.
  • Some toys may be safe only when supervised.
  • Some items may be safe with one ferret but not with another, always exercise common sense and inspect your toys often.
  • Throw away any toy that shows signs of wear before it becomes a problem.
