A major concern on people's minds these days is
privacy on the Internet. This site is targeted specifically at people
who may or may not want others to know of their beliefs or even
curiosity, so we feel an obligation to inform you of how Moonsweb.Com
handles information gathered at our site.
Moonsweb.Com makes extensive use of CGI scripts
and Server Side Include pages. This method of presenting information
provides a great deal of flexibility and power in gathering information
about our readers.
To be honest, although we love every one of our
readers dearly, we don't have any interest in what you- an individual
are doing at the site! We are more interested in what you as a group
are doing. We want to know how you got here, what pages you tend
to visit, and what pages you don't tend to visit. So, here's the
policy:
- We do not under any circumstances, sell or
disclose to any third party information gathered by any script
or device. This includes anyone signing up for the newsletter,
your name/e-mail will not be used for anything other than the
purpose it was submitted for.
- We do keep and archive server logs and reserve
the right to submit them as required by law if there is an attack
on the server .
- All e-mail form submissions are logged to
a file. This protects against lost e-mail.
- The Guest Book is a public, readable web page.
While it is disallowed in robots.txt, there is nothing we can
do to prevent spammers from harvesting names from it. One recommendation
is to write out your e-mail as name at domain.com so that
robots wont pick them up scanning pages, they commonly look for
the @ in a pages html to gather lists. A real person would
have no problems translating this but most robots wont
find it.
- The usersonline script does log information,
but as with the other scripts the information is frequently purged.
- As of this writing, HTTP Cookies are being
used at this site for the forum log-in and live help, Paypal may
produce a cookie, we do not have any access to the information
gathered by it. It is our understanding that they only gather
hit statistics. For more information on Paypal please visit their
sites.

are reported as virus free, however it is in your best interest
to SCAN ALL FILES you download from the Internet.
Moonsweb.com will not be liable for any problems under any circumstances.
